I planned this shot. I had to get the sun nearly on the horizon in the middle of winter (most of the time on the Coast we get a cloud bank, so the sun hitting the horizon is quite rare). When these two elements lined up, the cliffs glow a beautiful red that lasts only a few minutes.
Black and white photos are hand printed in my own darkroom the old fashioned way, using fibre based paper.
